Banff is for BAMFs

Hey everyone! I thought I would finally post a little blurb about my trip to Banff, Canada. So the first day ended up being an entire day of travel. With a mixture of flight delays, missing parts on the airplanes, and cranky airline workers, it ended up being a mess.
This picture was taken at a TGIFridays at the Newark Airport (yes, they ended up sending us further away from our destination, but hey, they almost sent us to Dallas so Newark wasn't as bad!) When our flight getting delayed here we ended up just drinking the night away.
Finally we arrived at the hotel at 3 in the morning. And of course, they were out of rooms. Some couples had to be given suites that they have to move out of the next day, but Pat and I were lucky and we got to stay in our suite the entire weekend. A couple people even had to go to a different hotel for the night! Oh yes, did I mention yet that our luggage was lost? Well, of course, it was.
Our first full day ended up being really nice. Pat had to go to a company event, which ended up being a bbq cookoff and all of the wives and girlfriends met up with the guys after that. Then Pat and I went to a cute pub, where we sat overlooking part of the golf course and a river.
Here's one of the pictures I took from the outdoor patio we sat at.
That night we went to a cocktail function Oracle threw. Pat borrowed some clothes and we both bought new shirts. I washed my underwear in the sink and used the hotel blow dryer to dry it. Our luggage finally arrived at 4 AM.
The next day, Pat went golfing and I went to the spa. There was a work dinner that night, where Pat was nominated for an award! Best out of the entire country! Yay Pat :) We didn't want to go out again that night, so we just grabbed some wine, went back to the room, ordered a 20 dollar pizza to the room, and rented a 15 dollar movie. And of course, we fell asleep within 5 minutes of the movie. Our final full day we went on a gondola ride and then spent a day in the town, which was really cute and fun. We had to be up and on a bus back to catch our flight at 4 AM the next morning, so we went out to dinner with a bunch of people, grabbed a bottle of wine, and passed out. The trip home had no delays, which was amazing and we got back safe and sound. Here are just a couple more pictures from the trip, and I'll post some more to facebook.
