Hello Ladies!
I like this whole blog thing! However, I am sad to see that not that many ppl have been using it! Let's get with the program, people. Karlene, yes, I did notice that Pat is now on Facebook, haha. That's really sad about the little boy on your street, I hope he ends up okay.
On a brighter note though--let me tell you all about my experiences driving across the country with Evan! First we went to DC. That was pretty good, we met up with some of Evan's friends from HS and had a home-cooked meal so that was awesome. Then they went out but I was too tired so I just went to sleep at his friends place. Some of you might remember him--Asian kid..Justin, he made a brief appearance at Evan's surprise party 2 years ago. The next day we did the touristy thing and basically just went to the monuments and stuff. It was so hot out! Then we drove for hours until we got to Virginia and stopped at this incredible Safari Park. We paid three dollars for a bucket of food each and we drove through this park with the windowns open and the animals come to your car. It was probably the most fun I've ever had with Evan ever. He was so funny--screaming hysterically when the camels heads were in the car. That was really great but I think my favorite part were prob the zebras. The brochure specifically said not to feed them but they looked calm enough so I went ahead adn did it. Their teeth were funny lol. They pretty much are horses with a sweet coat. They had kangaroos too...and ps...the joeys inside the pouch, NOT CUTE AT ALL! It's like this little hole that the mom's have (sorta like a belly-button) and the baby is in there crawling around, looking alienish.Very bizarre! From there I think we stayed at a random motel in TN then went to New Orleans the next day. To be completely honest it was really, really depressing at first. If you saw it you would think that Hurricane Katrina happened like last month, not three years ago. There are so many sections of the city that have not even been touched as far clean up and rebuilding. There were hundreds of people living under an overpass. It was just really sad. So we were bummed out for a little while but then we went out to dinner on Bourbon Street and walked up and down looking at all the bars, etc. We went and listened to a live cover band for a while and that was awesome. Then late night we decided to go to Scores which was hilarious and awesome. Strip clubs are not so bad after all. haha. Let's see what else...we drove through Texas and that took foreeeeever. I can't remember really anyhting other than Austin (cool nightlife) though because it seemed like the state went on forever. It was 120 degrees in Arizona which made us think about how awful it must be for the mexicans that try to cross the border. At one point we were only about 2 miles from the Mexican border. Ok I'm losing concentration here!!
Anyways, we finally made it to LA and Evan helped me move into my place then we found a place for him. We probably live about 15 minutes way from eachother which is about average in LA. He left for vegas the next day to work at that trade show and he doesn't come back until this Friday. So it definitely has been tough going out and meeting people without him here because I don't know ANYONE! Work is good though, it's unbelievably busy, which is something I'm not used to!! Then I have my part-time job representing Lianna Grethel, a current Deal or No Deal model (number 22) and former Playboy model. It's pretty awesome but I really underestimated how much hard work this would all be. I have to go to events with her which is pretty cool--the other day I went to a magazine launch party that was hosted by LC but she wasn't there. I'm still depressed about that. And tonight I'm going to a Remy/VSOP New Spirit by David LaChapelle Event at the MOCA (musuem of contemporary arts). I'm not sure what it's all about but hopefully it'll be fun! Anywyas--that's my life in LA thus far. I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH...love you, xoxo. let's keep this blog going otherwise karlene..you and i can communicate this way lol.
